Closed for the summer. The Lemon Bay Historical Society did a great job preserving this building, Englewood's first church. Note that it is closed for the summer but starting in September it will be open on the last Tuesday of each month at 7pm with free community programs and lectures.

FYI World Media

Open on the last Tuesday of each month at 7pm for lectures by local historians, authors, naturalists, and other interesting speakers. This was Englewood's first church built in 1928. It is now headquarters of the Lemon Bay Historical Society.

Green St Church has MOVED! to Rt 776 (also called Indiana Ave) in 2019 and is now next to historic Lemon Bay Cemetery (don't go looking for it on Green St in other words). It is not a religious church, meaning services are not held there, it is a meeting places for many groups of locals and sometimes musical events. It is a very simple architectural style church and fits Old Florida-style Englewood perfectly.
